I cut my strips 3.25″ to yield 5″ finished hexies using my First Choice rulers by Studio 180 Design..

From the same 3.25″ strips I made 10″ kaleidoscope Star 60 units using Deb Tucker’s Star 60 Tool.

I wanted the fairy to be gazing up at the moon and the stars, so I made 5″ and 10″ Framed 60 ‘s from the beautiful coordinating fabrics using my Star 60 Tool and the Framed ...

I cut 3.25″ strips to yield 5″ finished hexies using my favorite First Choice Rulers by Deb Tucker.

Let the designing begin, first surround the panel with hexies and establish the four sections.

Fitting in 10″ stars among 5″ hexies.

Dragonfly Mist measures 75″ x 70″. My Hollow Cube 60’s were made using the Star 60 Tool and the Hollow Cube 60 Technique Sheet. They represent Dragonfly houses. The 10″ stars were also made using the Star 60 Tool.

I just received two boxes from Timeless Treasures. One for Dragonfly Mist which has been out for a while and one containing Lumiere.

Terri Butler, my partner in creation already had Dragonfly Mist and now I have it too so we can make a One Block Wonder (OBW) jacket and quilt.

If you're tired of me starting off my blog posts with "another niece needed a wedding quilt" I'll just say instead that Emily's and Paige's cousin, Ashley, needed a wedding quilt.  Yes, that would be my niece.  Another niece.  I have a lot of them.  

I'm still trying to use up those batiks, so this time I chose the "Bella" pattern by Timeless Treasures.  

The stars really added a lot of interest to an otherwise simple pattern.

Another interesting part of the process was sewing the first two columns on upside down .....

.....then ripping them ...

I have been on a journey this year to see how many stars and shapes I can place in a One Block Wonder.

I found this great fabric from Timeless Treasures called “Last Dance”. The Skeletons are about 6 1/2″ tall.

Last Dance made some great octagons. I wanted to add a bat in my design also.

My friend and fellow Studio 180 Design Certified Instructor Beth Sidley designs great patterns. I love Moonlight Flight and decided to use her bat for my quilt. You can purchase Moonlight Flight from her Etsy ...

Bon Jour!

A few weeks ago you may have seen a short little video I posted on Social Media about a new line of fabrics from Timeless Treasures called Bon Jour! I paired those pretty prints with several of my Solid-ish fabrics to create a “curated collection.”

Miss Tater graciously decided to “model” the fabrics.

At the time, I promised to show you the project I had planned for those scrumptious fabrics.

I hinted I had a new quilt in the works back in February. As I pieced the blocks, I posted a few sneak peeks.

After I finished the quilt top, I shared a picture of it in my rearranged studio during the early weeks of the pandemic.
